We provide solutions for wood product businesses.
MacDonald & Owen empowers businesses by providing wholesale wood products. Hundreds of manufacturers and distributors worldwide use M&O products to focus on the work that counts - making sustainable wood products accessible to their communities.
In the beginning . . .
Before Archie MacDonald founded MacDonald & Owen, he was the sales director at Webster Industries - the largest hardwood company in Wisconsin at the time. Frustrated with the antiquated ways of the hardwood industry, he set out to pioneer a lumber company that was different from all the competition.
A phrase Archie often shared with our current President and Owner, David Twite.
"The only thing you really have is your honor. There's plenty of money to be made. So treat people right. If you cheat people and lie just to make a few extra dollars, no one will trust you."
Those ideals have continued on throughout our 50+ years of business as we seek to provide top quality wood products to all we work with.
